A lot of the fancy things you see on this forum are custom coded extensions (and MODs maybe?). You'll need to develop these features yourself if you want to copy it onto your own forum. It's not difficult if you have experience with php and HTML but if you're not hot on that stuff then you may want to see if you can get some support in the relevant forums.
